What is abdominal lifting (Abdominoplasty)

Abdominal lifting (abdominoplasty) is an esthetical surgery in which excess of skin and fat are removed and in which looseness of muscles are tightened.

What are the causes of prolapses and lipoidosis in abdominal region?

By which technic abdominal lifting is performed?

In full abdominal lifting surgery, skin and subcutaneous tissues are lifted on the abdominal muscles by making incisions extending toward the sides along the cesarean section line. In the partial abdominal lifting (mini abdominoplasty) surgery, navel line is not passed. Excess of skin and excess of fat remaining under the navel are taken.

What are the issues to be cared before the surgery?
  • If you are using anticoagulant (blood-thinning) drugs, you should cease to use them seven to ten days before by consulting to your doctor.
  • Some drugs and some vitamins have anticoagulant (blood-thinning) effects and bleedings may be increased during the recovery period. In the abdominal lifting surgeries a trace extending horizontally at the lower part of the abdomen persists. However, since this trace is within the bikini line it is not seen outside.

Is it possible to eliminate the traces of the abdominal lifting surgery?

The complete disappearance of the traces is not possible. However, slight traces which cannot be noticed at first glance persist.
